“ Oh emm gee!!! If you're looking for a Mexican/American hearty breakfast, look no further. This is the place. I have never been disappointed. Today I rolled the dice on the potato croquettes Benedict and I'm so happy I did. It had the poblano peppers, pico de gallo and hollandaise sauce over the croquettes. I usually get the chili quiles. Both are amazing! Also, I know this is a bold statement, but they have the best southwest egg rolls out there. ”

“ I like small towns. Or maybe more specifically, I appreciate walking into a business where you're not a stranger or just another customer, but rather someone who is treated as if they belong there. If you share that sentiment- welcome to the 50/50 Family Restaurant in Bellevue, IL- just outside of Peoria. Some may drive by this restaurant because the exterior is old, but the inside is warm, friendly, and tasty! The chips and guacamole are home made- the chips with a light salt. The guac is fresh-with onions, tomato, cilantro, and a blend of spices that gives it a little kick- but nothing that overwhelms the flavor. My lunch was the chicken enchiladas that were nicely presented and very delicious. We drive through Peoria a couple times a year- I'll plan my lunch/dinner stops next time so I can visit my new friends again! ”

“ What a cute little spot!!! Super clean inside. We arrived to find them picking fresh tomatillos from the garden out back for tonight's salsa!! You can't get more fresh than that! The Mexican skillet was like a fajita bowl with gravy and potatoes! The chorizo is amazing! Have had the 50/50 eggs Benedict before... amazing find in such a small town ”

“ This is our new go to place for Sunday brunch. The food is awesome, the wait staff is super friendly, and there are great options for breakfast or lunch. While it may be a small place, it's huge in flavor and personality. Whether you want tacos and some Mexican food, omelettes and breakfast, or just a burger and fries. We've been here 4 times and each time we see someone eating something and asking them what they have, so we can get it on the next visit. Great local place and whole heartedly recommend you take the time to visit the restaurant sometime. ”
